Equality isn’t responsible for the lack of chivalrous acts, and wanting chivalry has nothing to do with weakness. In fact, many never make the connection that chivalry is an aspect of what makes up a great relationship. Being treated with chivalry will not make you weak or take away your independence at all.

So when considering a potential life partner, or even just a simple date, you should really think about what the other can offer you. Don’t think a man will change, if his manners don’t measure up now then they never will.

Chivalry may not show up on many lists of desirable qualities in a man, but if it is a question of choosing between the bad boy and the gentleman, go for chivalry if you are interested in a long-term relationship or even marriage.
