Enjoy Being Single

While walking through a crowd, you hear the chatter and laughter all around. You see couples walking by smiling and holding hands. You wonder to yourself, how did they meet? Did they meet at the grocery store, while during laundry or are they result of an internet dating connection?

And right about the same time you can’t help but feel that you want to be part of a twosome as well. Rest assured, you’re not alone. Lots of singles feel exactly the same way. You wonder why you haven’t found someone to share your life with. You always thought you would; you went to school, have a good job, but you haven’t fallen in love.

After the falling in love part comes marriage and the baby carriage; or so you thought. Life seems to have other plans for you, but don’t give up! By keeping a positive attitude, it’s really just a matter of time before you meet someone to call your own.

While you’re on your quest for a partner, you still need to live your life to the fullest So take advantage of your single status and do the things that you might not be able to do if you were part of a couple.

1.Go on a trip on the spur of the moment. Let’s say your best friend has an extra ticket to a concert out of town; one that you really want to attend. Your single status works in your favor; no one’s feelings will be hurt if you pack an overnight bag and just take off.

2. As a single person, you can date as much as you want; the choice is yours. Singledom is the perfect time to meet a wide variety of people. Chances are that you won’t have this opportunity once you settle down.

3. If you live alone, as a single person you get to have the place to yourself. This means not having to share the remote control, sleeping late or keeping the house as loud or as quite as you please.

4. If your plans suddenly change because you have a last minute invitation to dinner or a party, you don’t have to phone home to let anyone know.

5. Depending on your budget, you can eat out as much as you like or stay home and cook your own meals. Once again, you can please yourself. And that applies to your level of home tidiness too.

Although many of these things mention above may sound selfish, they are things to consider when dating. Knowing that you can do what you want when being single and knowing this changes slightly when you are involved could help one know that life does change and help them to adjust themselves accordingly. This way, when you do finally meet that special someone you might be more willing to inform them of your whereabouts.

Reflecting on these points can also help you decide whether you really do want to be attached to one person for the rest of your life. It can be a wonderful experience, but it’s not for everyone. So make the most of your single life while you’re looking for The One.
