Cheating can break down any relationship, but moreover, it can ruin the devotion that two people give each other. All of these things come into play when one individual even feels as if that loyalty has been tampered with. All too often, if these issues are not dealt with, then they will escalate into spats then into arguments then into fights, which could lead to the couple separating.

Was he actually forgetting to spend quality time with her? Did she really need that extra time or was she simply feeling lonely and left out? What was the cause of these suspicions to come creeping into her mind in the first place?

Perhaps, it was the fact that they had gotten so comfortable with one another that he had become bored with the same old same routine day in and day out. Perhaps, him staying later at work was his way of giving his life a little different routine and adding a bit of excitement to it.
